NDIS Core Supports are in place to help you with everyday activities, your disability-related needs, participating more fully in your community and working towards your goals. There are four different support categories under the NDIS Core Support budget, these are:

Assistance with daily life

Assistance with daily life is designed to empower you to live your best life, as autonomously as possible. It covers the cost of hiring support for everyday life activities such as:

Whether you need physical assistance with these tasks, or simply want someone to supervise, our assistance with daily life services are designed to make everyday life easier for you.

This category of NDIS Core Supports can also be accessed outside your home. For example, should you require support in the community, at school, work, TAFE or university, we are here to help.

Transport

The transport category of NDIS Core Supports covers the costs associated with specialized NDIS transport to school, education programs, employment, and community or recreational activities. At Care Hub, we can organize caring and comprehensive transport services that include private cars and NDIS buses. We also provide assistance with transport in Adelaide including regional areas of South Australia such as Port Augusta, Whyalla, Port Pirie, Victor Harbor and many more.

Assistance with social & community participation

This area of NDIS Core Supports is designed to empower you to better engage with your community. Assistance with social & community participation includes recreational activities and courses that may help you better socialise and connect with others. This could include: art classes, sports coaching and similar activities that build skills and independence; camps, classes and vacation activities that have mentoring or peer support and individual Capacity Building skills development.

NDIS Price Guide FAQs

Yes, the price guide of NDIS changes every few months. This is done in accordance with the NDIA to ensure the current and future Australians living with disability receive value of the support they receive from NDIS providers.

The NDIA sets maximum prices for every support and service they deliver to the NDIS participants. The support catalogue provides a list of available supports for providers, when making a payment request. The support catalogue also provides information on the previous and current support items, also indicating the claim types (such as transport, food) for every item.  

Yes, absolutely they can. However, the NDIS price guide sets out a limit for maximum pricing for the supports and services to be charged. The participant or the NDIS service provider can negotiate prices before signing a service agreement.

The Covid Addendum is a document set by the NDIS, that provides you information on the temporary measures taken in response to Covid-19 and the regions or individuals that are impacted by the pandemic.

Yes, all the self-managed participants can pay their AT provider directly. Also ensuring, their AT provider has set costs for the items under the NDIS pricing guide. 

Effective from 1st January 2022, providers cannot claim the cost the of PPE from a participant’s NDIS plan.

The NDIS pricing arrangement provides clear information that participants or their providers can claim for the time of more than one therapist or support worker utilised, when providing support.

No, the NDIS pricing guide remains the same for all the cities and states in Australia. This also includes Adelaide, and the regional areas of South Australia.
